Our development squad traveled over the river Humber on a warm Thursday evening to challenge themselves against a Tier 2 Academy side Hull City F.C.
In a 7v7 format, with two games running side by side, our juniors managed to draw one game and we’re narrowly beaten on the other. More importantly than the result our players showed great composure with the ball and always looked to play in a positive manner, resulting in lots of attacking combinations and numerous chances being created.
This once again was another great experience for the development side who once again showed hard work and effort and was proud to pull on the Skegness Town jersey.
Managers Dan & Ryan would like to thank the parents who traveled in their numbers over to hull to support the players. A special mention to the 2 parents Julia and Sarah who drove to Leicester to pick the players up from a school trip to bring to hull so they did not miss the experience.
Massive thank you to Luke at Hull City for hosting our development squad and for the hospitality showed and finally to the members of the committee at Skegness Town who facilitated the use of the club's minibus we truly appreciate it from us at Skegness Town JFC.
Our next development game is against Cleethorpes Town on the 3rd of July at The Vertigo.
