Skegness Town were held to a 2–2 draw by Hinckley AFC at home after letting a two-goal lead slip in the second half.

Town made an excellent start and took control of the game through Dakin, who struck twice in seven minutes to put Skegness 2–0 ahead. The Lilywhites looked comfortable going into half-time, but Hinckley came out strongly after the break.

The visitors pulled a goal back six minutes into the second half before quickly drawing level from the penalty spot just two minutes later. Skegness pushed for a winner in the closing stages but had to settle for a point.

The result leaves Town with four points from their opening three league games — a win, draw and defeat.
