We head to Belper United tomorrow

We’re back on the road this Saturday as we make the trip to Derbyshire to take on Belper United in the United Counties League Premier Division North.

We head into the fixture on the back of a positive midweek result, having beaten Brigg Town 2-0 in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy on Wednesday evening. Goals from Liam Adams and Lucas Dakin secured our place in the next round and gave us a welcome boost ahead of a challenging league fixture.

Saturday’s opponents have made an impressive start to the league campaign, sitting top of the table with 27 points from their opening 11 matches. With nine wins to their name and 40 goals scored, Belper have shown their quality in front of goal and will provide a stern test on home soil.

For us, the challenge is clear. We’ll need to be organised, disciplined and work hard across the pitch, while making sure we take our opportunities when they come. Our midweek win gives us something to build on, and we’ll travel to Belper determined to put in a strong performance.

We currently sit 12th in the table on 13 points, and we know that a positive result on Saturday would be a valuable step as we look to climb the standings and build momentum in the coming weeks.

It’s another important test for us against one of the division’s leading sides, and we’ll be looking to give our travelling supporters something to cheer about.
