Declan enjoyed excellent progression in junior football, were he represented East Coast Juniors, Swifts, and Rustons in the Lincolnshire Co-op Mid Lincs County Youth League. He built a great reputation for being a capable attacking forward. And during his time in junior football he won trophies and medals for his achievements.

Following a successful season with Ruston Sports at Under 16's, he returned to his hometown club where he became a key member of the newly formed Skegness Town Under 18’s at the age of 17 years old. But it wasn't long before he caught the attention of our senior sides, where his hard work was rewarded with quick progression to the reserves team, and then into the first team.

His achievements in the first team have included a season as leading goal scorer, a League Cup winners medal, and he was part of the team that reached the play-off final in the 2023/24 season.
